Digital Screen-Media or networked Digital Signage as it is most commonly called in the USA is a communication medium for the purposes of marketing, information or ambience in the out-of-home environment. A primary characteristic of screen-media is the ability to narrowcast; a capability that contrasts with the broadcast nature of television.
